The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels - Alexandria University publishes a peer- reviewed scientific journal called “The Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels” since 2003. It is a journal accredited by the Academy of Scientific Research. It has been issued an international printed number (ISSN): (Printed 2314-7024) and an electronic international number (ISSN): (Online ISSN) 2682-2180.
The journal accepts new and innovative scientific works that have not been published before in a local or international journal, as well as serious research and studies. The journal also accepts individual or joint research papers and research extracted from master's and doctoral theses. In the case of research extracted from master's and doctoral theses, the student's name is written on the research as the first researcher, followed by the names of the thesis supervisory body, and the research may not be published by the researcher alone.
It publishes everything related to tourism, hotels, and tourist guidance from various scientific studies and research that reflect the diverse nature of research in the field of tourism, especially at a time when it is witnessing multiple changes in the Middle East region in general and in the tourism sector in particular. Therefore, the Journal of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University, is considered one of the distinguished and competitive scientific journals in the field of scientific research in the tourism and hotel sector in Egypt and the Middle East. The journal is managed by the “Editorial Board,” whose formation is decided by the Dean of the Faculty for a period of two years, renewable. It performs the following tasks:
1-Establishing the journal's publishing policy and its governing rules.
2- Proposing amendments to the journal's regulations in accordance with developments.
3- Establishing detailed rules for the journal's publishing guide.
4- Approving the formation of the journal's advisory board, so that it includes referees for all specializations covered by the journal.
5- Submitting development proposals to the college council to take decisions to activate them.
6- Submitting performance reports on the journal to the faculty council.
7- Submitting and activating proposals for placing the journal on local, regional, and international databases.
Author Copyright policy:
The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright and retain publishing rights without any restrictions.
Open access:
The journal is published under an open-access policy, which means it allows its content to be accessed, downloaded, used, and shared by others without restrictions. All articles are available free of charge and immediately upon publication, with no costs incurred by authors or readers to access the journal's content. Plagiarism:
The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional plagiarism-checking software. Submitted manuscripts with an unacceptable similarity index resulting from plagiarism are rejected immediately.
Revenue Sources
The only resources for the journal are the author fees which have no influence on the editorial decision-making concerning the research publishing.
Advertising policy:
The journal doesn’t accept any advertisements of any kind on the journal website.
