Abstract

The main objective of the quality assurance certificates is to help tourism organizations to understand all issues related to the quality. This certificate could guide organizations' efforts, financial resources and human capabilities to develop the quality of their business in tourism competitive environment. It also helps them supporting the dimensions of sustainable development in the tourist destination. However, the tour operator is facing many challenges that cannot face alone in order to obtain a quality assurance certificate. This is due to the small size of human and financial potentials compared to the huge tourist sectors such as hotels and airlines. This has led many tourist destination governments to design programs specialized Quality certificate program for tour operators by activating partnerships with other stakeholders using a combination of funding mechanisms such as responsible government agencies or NGOs.
In the light of that, this study aimed at identifying all the possibilities and potentials available for the Egyptian tour operators to present a proposal for a specialized certificate program that suits the circumstances of the country and the Egyptian tourism companies, which is reflected positively on all parties in the tourism process.
