The impact of the global epidemics on the tourism industry in Egypt- Applied to the coronavirus - COVID 19.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the leading economic sectors in the world, and it is also a major engine for sustainable development. It provides support for the livelihoods of millions of people in the whole world, tourism sector depends more than any other economic activity with a social impact on interaction between people, so the emergence of Or the spread of global epidemics will greatly affect the tourism industry, for the time being the tourism sector is one of the sectors most affected by the outbreak of the Coronavirus emerging COVID-19, officials and tourism experts are expected on the international tourist movement arriving to Egypt in 2020 indicate the possibility of Tourist numbers exceeded 50-75% over 2019, and tourism growth rates decreased from 5 - 7% as a result of the Coronavirus crisis.
This research aims to identify the impact of the COVID-19 virus outbreak on the tourism industry in Egypt, and to benefit from the experiences of developed tourism countries in facing new global challenges, In addition to the efforts made by the official and unofficial tourist agencies in the country to face the effects of the crisis on the sector with the aim of reaching results that help to develop recommendations to meet these challenges.
