Maidan el Masajid is located at el Anfoushy district in Alexandria over looking the Mediterranean. Its a square of both historical a nd touristic importance; it includes seven mosques and mausoleums which are: The Mosque of Abu el Abbas el morsy, the Mausoleum of el set mandara, the mosque of EL Bousery, The mosque of el sheikh Ali ABU-El Fath , The mosue of El sheikh Muhamed Naser EL-Din and the mausoleum of the Fourteen Muhameds. Each of these monuments is distinguished with its artistic and architectural style. as the mosque of ABU EL Abbas built by the italian architect Mario Rossi to evoke the Mamluk architectural style while the mosque of El Bousseri Is rich with ottoman decoratives and parts of the lyrics of al-Imam EL Bousseri Known as " Nahg el-Bourda". So the aim of the study is to shed the light to the historical background of the site and to discuss obstacles facing the site
